Meet our Team

Rob was born in Edmonton but lived in Vermilion until he was 14 years old then moved back to Edmonton with his family.

Rob had a 9-year career in retail sales and management before turning his focus to the Financial Services Industry in 2006. In 2008, Rob and his dad, Al Hardy opened Hardy Financial Group together and have been servicing clients in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan ever since.

He is continually trying to upgrade and advance internal systems to achieve the highest levels of service and support possible because everyone deserves the same high level of service.

Outside of work Rob enjoys almost every sport imaginable and has spent many hours the last few years coaching St. Albert Baseball, Hockey and Soccer for his sons.

Alessandra started with Hardy Financial Group  13 years ago helping her husband Rob and father-in-law Al as the administrator in the office.

Since then, Alessandra had left the role in 2014 to have her first son and in 2016 have her second son.

Currently, she continues managing the offices in Edmonton and Vermilion as well as taken the role of Marketing and Communications for clients.

Outside of work, Alessandra is busy with her two young sons exploring the outdoors, skating, hiking, biking, playing sports etc.

Al Hardy was raised on the farm in Cut Knife, SK until he graduated. He worked retail for 13 years until 1981 when he and his family to Vermilion, Alberta to open Hardy’s Department Store. In 1983, Al Hardy started in the Insurance and Financial Industry and eventually relocated to Edmonton, Alberta in 1992.

In 2008, Al Hardy and his son Rob had decided to start Hardy Financial Group together and have been working together ever since. In 2017, Hardy Financial Group was put in the hands of his son Rob.

Al’s “semi-retired” days are spent enjoying time in the summer with his wife at their cabin in Saskatchewan golfing and relaxing. In the winter months Al and his wife spend some time in Phoenix and Hawaii.

Sheila has lived in Edmonton her whole life and in 1990, she started working in the financial and insurance industry.

She has an Accounting and Secretarial/Office Administration diploma from NAIT and absolutely enjoys the customer service aspect of her role with Hardy Financial Group since she joined in 2018.

Outside of work, Sheila enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and 2 year old German Shepherd Zoso.

Shannon was born in New Westminster BC. She grew up in Vancouver before moving to the Fraser Valley, where she raised her three children. She worked in retail for many years before a car accident moved her in another direction and found a job as an office assistant and loved it. Then in 2022 life sent her another curve ball and she found herself in Spruce Grove, Alberta and is loving her new life in Alberta, along with her new role with Hardy Financial Group. In her free time, you can find Shannon spending time with her family, playing board games, walking her dog Boston or curled up on the couch with a good book.
